Masjid-Ummah (also known as Saxonsea Masjid) serves the Muslim community of Atlantis, Cape Town, and the surrounding areas of the Western Cape. We offer Islamic school education (madrasah), Janazah (funeral) services, and community events for all Muslims.

أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ، وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ
"I have been ordered to fight people until they testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish the prayer, and pay zakat. If they do that, their blood and property are protected from me."
